Earth Bound—2013 Student Competition- Chiayi House

For student competitions, to respond to the real conditions of a site and the requirements of the client is a challenge, especially when they attempt to find the solutions of social issues through it. The first step is to conduct investigation of the site as well as the local societies.

真實的基地環境、實際的業主要求，對於一個學生競圖來說，對上述社會願景和現實話題的解答無疑是有較高的難度，他們需要對基地環境以致嘉義的社會現況做一些調查與分析。

設計競圖對於建築師來說是再熟悉不過的事物了，而對在校學生卻是非常重要的起步，相對而言，學生競圖的目的是非生產性的，更加注重啟迪學生對社會生活的現狀與未來的設想。以嘉義縣建築師公會為主發起的2013年「嘉義厝」（Chiayi'house）設計新秀學生競圖，對於當前臺灣中小城市與鄉村發展的關注，得到了大陸、臺灣等地各所大學建築系師生的廣泛參與。受到組委會的邀請，我作為此次競圖的大陸院校評委之一，看到了不少富於創意構思和生活氣息的設計作品。
