A Journal of the Reconstruction for Yaan after Earthquake

We faced challenges in building regulations, structural and engineering methods, and materials. Fortunately many professional people devoted themselves to clearly define the regulations and building standards, helping us to get on the tasks of reconstruction.

512川震造成了相當規模的生命財產的損失。台灣各界憶及921當時的慘痛經驗，本於人溺己溺之情懷，各方風起雲湧亟思提供適當之援助。其中，以台灣大學建築與城鄉所夏鑄九教授等為核心組成的「台灣支援川震重建行動聯盟」便是其中一支。由於川震中有許多校舍遭到摧毀，是未來重建項目中的重要一環，因而「聯盟」即刻與曾參與台灣921校園重建的建築師們取得聯繫，希望從專業的領域，為川震重建提出實質的協助。
