A Policy Destined to Lose All—Farming Lands and Farmhouses

Vanishing rice paddies, speculation of farmhouses by fake farmers, occupants of farmhouses who don’t farm at all, and the surging prices of farmlands, as well as the destruction of farming environment, all these have put the coming generations in danger.

台灣土地總面積為360萬公頃，其中，平地96萬公頃（占26.7％）、坡地98萬公頃（占27.3％）、高山167萬公頃（占46.0％）。2013年農業用地（農林漁牧用地）面積為221.2萬公頃，占全部土地面積之61.4％。2013年農業統計年報之資料顯示，可種植作物之耕地（狹義之農地）面積為799,830萬公頃，占全部土地之22.22%，占農業用地之36.16%。依據農業發展條例（以下簡稱農發條例）第3條第11項之「耕地」定義（以區域計畫之非都市農牧用地為準），2013年之耕地面積為814,839.68公頃，占全部土地之22.63%，占農業用地之36.84％。
