Looking back, historical preservation has been projecting the intention of power during different times. In a fast changing world, the view of historical preservation in 2050 might be completely impossible to imagine in 2015.

去年，台北市長當選人柯文哲表示，上任後要在一個月內提出台北2050年都市計畫與願景。這樣的壯志，自然也包括台北文化願景的想像與討論。回首文化保存的歷史，可以發現不同時期的保存政策背後，都存在時代、主政者的影響與企圖，面對迅速且不可逆的變遷腳步，2050年或2015年的討論，其實有著太多的想像空間存在，本文受限於篇幅關係，僅以歷史回顧為例，嘗試思考不同世代拼圖式的願景想像，及其背後不變的真實保存價值。
