Exploration and Reflection of Architectural Firms in the AI Era

From the perspective of a practicing architectural designer, this paper reviews the digital progression from CAD representation, to BIM computation, and now to AI collaboration. It seeks to clarify misconceptions about AI in the architectural field and, drawing on the experience of digitalization, reconsiders the challenges that may arise, such as the blurring of disciplinary boundaries, the risk of professional mediocrity, and increasing homogeneity among peers.

近來在同業交流的場合中，AI的衝擊無可避免地成為討論焦點，卻往往出現兩種截然不同的評價：一方認為它不過讓彩繪與渲染更快更方便，甚至以「沒有一張圖是AI生成」為榮；另一方則讚嘆AI能瞬間提供多樣選擇，讓業主舉棋不定。

然而，這兩種看法的共同盲點，在於皆基於「工具論」—將AI視為繪圖或影像製作的進化版，正如過去將BIM誤解為3D模型軟體一般。若僅止於工具層面，便忽略了AI背後以深度學習與類神經網路為基礎、透過迭代優化不斷逼近解答的邏輯，這種邏輯，或許正指向一種Artificial Intelligence Beyond Human Intelligence。

以一位建築設計實務參與者（而非研究者）的立場而言，面對這樣既充滿挑戰又超越個人想像的未來，本文嘗試回顧電腦（尤其軟體）在事務所設計實踐中的演進脈絡，藉此釐清「AI迷思」，並重新省思本所數位化與AI化的可能性；最終關心的，不僅是工具如何更新，而是設計思考、專業責任與組織結構是否因此被重塑。
