Sediment of Time- An Unexpected Report

Architect Han has passed away nearly one year, with an unexpected report from American journal “Architecture” 27-year ago, this article is in memory of Han with some of his works

美國建築師協會(American Institute of Architects，簡稱AIA)，於1913時創辦了代表建築專業團體的刊物，直到2006年停刊，期間縱然刊物名稱多次有所異動，但是作為全美國建築刊物龍頭之一的地位屹然。二十世紀七O年代是美國建築雜誌的鼎盛時代，當時有《建築紀事》(Architectural Record)，《前衛建築》(Progressive Architecture)，《建築論壇》(Architectural Forum)與AIA的《建築》雜誌等四雄爭峰，至2015年只剩《建築紀事》獨領風騷。

《建築》雜誌於九○年代的總編輯康倜(Donald Canty，1929 ~2005)有很豐富的編輯經驗，早期曾擔任西雅圖的《西岸建築師與工程師》(Western Architect and Engineer)編輯，一度是《建築論壇》的編輯。他於1974年3月接下《建築》雜誌的總編輯職位，直至1989年退休。
